Waves in Varberg

4 guys on the road to Sweden for the weekend. Christian, Håkon (brother in crime), Øyvind and I had a superb forecast for both wind and waves for the entire weekend. After a couple of laps around town we ended up at a 200 year old mansion. Cosy, cheap, and breakfast included, right on the beach.

Saturday was light. Christian, Håkon, and Øyvind had a nice freestyle session, but for me I was just not enough wind. Sunday at was windy, I got to ride my new surfboard. One early session, and one session after breakfast which was a bit crowded but ok. I starting to get the hang of the kitesurf/wave thing

Around the world 2009

It’s final! I’ve decided to take 6 months of from work, and travel the world. On the 2^nd of January 2009 I’m planning on leaving Norway, and set course for Cape Town, South Africa. I’m still in the initial planning phase, so all the destinations are not booked yet.

One year ago I started thinking about taking time of from work, and just travel the word for kiteboarding and adventures. Now, one year later I’ve save up enough to make my dream come true.
I will be traveling alone, but interested on meeting friend and family during my trip. So if your planning on a holiday, kiteboarding or not, between January 2009 and June 2009, let me know.

I´ve ordered around the world ticket Staralliance. The route (which can be changed) is:

Oslo-Frankfurt-Cape Town-Johannesburg-Lisboa-Caracas// Santa Domingo-
Charlotte-Los Angeles-Auckland-Singapore-København-Oslo

This covers not all the final destinations, so I need to rely on local tickets as well.
