After negotiating way to long about the car rental rate, we were finally on our way Thursday morning. Since traffic here is a bit nasty, we decided to hire the car with a driver. Despite he´s rocking english, our driver is a very nice and enthusiastic guy. This is my first time in Asia, and I must admit that seeing people, temples, rice fields and the tropical areas is quite different than what I´m used to. The highlight of the day was the “firedance” in Ubud.

This is a festival held every year, and Ogoh Ogoh is described as “a symbol from devil or criminal atmosphere” This is neutralize by symbolically burn or actually burn the Ogoh-ogoh status / dolls at the end of the parade. It was quite a show, and the main strip was hectic! I also ran in to Chris and his brother, both photographers. I got tips on what to see at Bali, and Chris even invited me to Jakarta! Nice guys.
