This picture is from down town Oslo. The bridge is called Nordenga bru, which connects an old part of down town Oslo, with the new area called Bjørvika. This is the area the new opera house is.
The Nordic World Championships in Holmenkollen Oslo Norway 2011 are over. I`ve been lucky to be a apart of this event up close, taking pictures for skiforeningen.no. It has been a great event, and a good experience for me as a photographer. These are my pick outs:

These two images were taken when I was out strolling with my camera a week a go. At one minute I see this guy laying on entrance to Bislett Stadium, dead drunk or drugged. 10 minutes after I see a newly wedded couple taking pictures and having a great time outside United bakeries at Majorstua.
My first fashion photography shoot. The model, Mai-Linn is a new model for Team Models here i Oslo and needed new photos to her portfolio. I used 2 strobes to create the white background and the “wrapping” around Mai-Linns face and neck, one strobe front up above and a reflector in chest height eliminating most of the shadows under her chin. Apart from a minor “hair-job”, this is more or less straight out the camera.
I finally invested in a tripod, and I chose Benro C-297. I´t a carbon fiber tripod, so the weight is not that bad, and the build is very good. I also bought a Manfrotto 804RC2 pan / tilt head, but I´m not all that impressed with that. Continue Reading →
